Flexible Working
Ultra Maritime supports flexible working arrangements where possible, including a 9-day fortnight with extended weekends and flexible start/finish times.
This role provides IT Support at the Adelaide site, delivering hands-on technical support and infrastructure troubleshooting, metering, and monitoring. The role reports to the Global Support Manager and is locally tasked by the Senior IT Support Analyst.
The successful applicant will have opportunities to demonstrate a customer-first approach, supporting across the local infrastructure stack and collaborating with the wider networking and server storage teams to implement a global strategy.
The IT Support Analyst will diagnose and resolve a wide range of technical issues, including malfunctions, software errors, network connectivity, and configuration issues. They will also be responsible for asset management and lifecycle refresh. The candidate may support the Senior Analyst on BAU tasks.
Key responsibilities- Provide local site support and management of activities, coordinating analysts to deliver customer-first support and participate in problem resolution via the global service desk.
- Networking troubleshooting – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Complete work orders: installing equipment, connecting and moving devices, including workstations, telephony hardware, and peripherals.
- Image, prepare and ship new hire or replacement equipment to meet onboarding deadlines.
- Provide firsthand support for the network team when required.
- Provide onsite white-glove support and build relationships with executives, staff, and visitors; assist with incidents and service requests.
- Manage and implement patch management on local site infrastructure under the guidance of wider IT teams.
- Occasionally work out-of-hours or on-site weekends as needed.
- Manage local Software Development stack of Infrastructure, including some Linux and Ubuntu systems
- Asset management including stock levels and lifecycle refresh planning.
- Must be eligible to obtain / maintain an Australian security clearance
- 5+ years in a customer-facing IT technical support role with infrastructure responsibilities
- Experience in system administration and networking fault diagnostics
- Experience with Linux is desirable
- Knowledge of VMware and ESXi; Horizon knowledge beneficial
- Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy administration
- Good knowledge of storage components (NetApp, Synology, PowerVault, etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Windows applications
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across application, hardware, and operating systems
- Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
- Relevant degree qualification
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks
