Overview

38 hours per week | Temporary 4-week contract, potential extension. $40 per hour + super | Eastern Melbourne (Local Council)

Our client, a well-regarded local council in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a short-term contract. This is a great opportunity to utilise your skills in accounts payable while contributing to an organisation that delivers essential services to the community.

Responsibilities
  • Uploading and scanning supplier invoices, validating extracted information, and ensuring correct purchase order matching or workflow approvals
  • Reviewing creditor statements and reconciling accounts as required
  • Responding to supplier account enquiries in a timely manner
  • Updating and maintaining supplier details with supporting documentation to comply with audit requirements
About You
  • Experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Education, Aged Care or Government sectors
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud - highly regarded
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and strong communication skills
