About the opportunity

2025 Geriatric Medicine Registrar - Inpatient GEM/GEM@Home (18 August 2025 – 1 February 2026) (Possibility of extension, subject to review)

The Geriatric Evaluation and Management and GEM@Home Unit consists of a state of the art 30 bed inpatient ward with GEM/ TCP/ Rehabilitation that provides specialist in-patient care to the growing communities of the West. The Unit is based at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The unit is supervised by a Head of Unit, geriatricians, a registrar and hmo. There is a strong multidisciplinary team consisting of medical, nursing and allied health staff.

In addition to ward responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to be involved in ACAS rounds as well as specialist clinics. Werribee Mercy Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Notre Dame.

About you:

  • Must have valid AHPRA medical registration

  • Full time position based at Werribee Mercy Hospital

  • Great experience for an RACP trainee

  • Must hold full driver's licence
