Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

VCAT

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.

About The Role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex intiiatives supporting the successful implementation of VCAT's new operating model and supporting Case Management System (CMS).

Responsibilities

You will partner with multidisciplinary teams, working closely with internal stakeholders to shape the outcomes that support business transformation and improved service delivery. You will be responsible for:
  • leading end-to-end project management for workstreams within the operating model improvement project (OMIP) and CMS program, from planning and scoping through to implementation
  • defining and monitoring project scope, deliverables, milestones, resources, risks and budgets
  • coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on objectives
  • delveoping high-quality project artefacts including project plans, risk registers, status reports, steering committee papers and implementation roadmaps
  • building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • practively managing risks and issues, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place
  • contributing to continuous improvement of program delivery frameworks

This position is available on a fixed term basis until 31 December 2026

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management expertise and bring high level strategic thinking to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams. You will be able to demonstrate:
  • experience managing complex ICT-enabled or business transformation projects, preferably in a justice, regulatory or public sector environment
  • experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including contract/vendor management
  • strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (eg. PRINCE2, Agile)
  • excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills
  • understanding of case management systems or tribunal/court operational environments is desirable.
