Major Account Manager - Critical Infrastructure and Public Sector
Overview

The Major Account Manager partners with our customers to secure their entire digital experience. You're motivated by solving critical challenges facing our customers, aiming to connect them with solutions for every stage of threat prevention. This role drives company revenue and growth, and you'll lead and drive sales engagements as an experienced, dynamic sales professional.

Palo Alto Networks offers best-in-breed solutions to enable customers to build a zero-trust security architecture and navigate critical transformations. Our FLIGHT onboarding program blends virtual and in-person learning to prepare new sales hires for success without customer distractions.

Your Career

The Major Account Manager partners with our customers to secure their entire digital experience. You'll be responsible for leading and driving sales engagements and solving critical challenges in customers' secure environments, connecting them with solutions for each stage of threat prevention.

Your Impact
  • Drive and orchestrate large, complex sales cycles; collaborate with internal partners and teams to best serve the customer
  • Apply consultative selling to identify business challenges and create solutions for prospects and customers
  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to position the Palo Alto Networks portfolio
  • Develop a detailed territory plan to create clear goals and accurate forecasting
  • Leverage customer stories to articulate compelling value propositions tailored to each account
  • Stay informed about industry news and trends and how they affect our products and services
  • Travel within the territory and to company-wide meetings as needed
Qualifications
Your Experience
  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in networking and/or security
  • Demonstrated experience selling complex solutions, value selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
  • Technical aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems
  • Identifies problems, analyzes data, determines root causes, and provides scalable solutions
  • Cultivates relationships with channel partners to support a channel-centric go-to-market approach
  • Knowledge of the full sales cycle and ability to follow a structured sales process
  • Holistic problem solving, considering complex interrelationships and outcomes
  • Excellent time management and ability to work with autonomy and self-direction
