About the RoleBased in Brisbane, the Management Accountant (MA) role is a four-day-per-week position responsible for ensuring the Riverside Industrial Sands business meets or exceeds its commercial arrangements with its primary customer. The MA oversees the accounting and administration functions of the business, ensuring stable financial performance through accurate recording, reporting, and forecasting.
This position is based both on-site at Lytton and at our head office in Newstead.
Key Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Perform the Management Accountant role, including monthly reporting to the customer.
- Work with the Business Unit General Manager to prepare and deliver annual budgets.
- Ensure contract obligations are met.
- Respond to client requests.
- Administer and attend client contract review meetings.
- Authorise purchase orders.
- Produce financial models of new business ventures when required, including return on capital and DCF analysis (supported by HQ finance team).
Essential Competencies and Characteristics:
- Strong financial and accounting literacy
- Demonstrated ability to support the BU's commercially
- High level user of Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good problem solving and lateral thinking
- Good team player
Required Qualifications and Training:
- Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Accounting or Finance)
- CA or CPA qualified
