Pacific Industries Ltd (PIL) is a reputable food and beverage manufacturer and distributor of leading international brands in Papua New Guinea. Established in 1936, PIL is one of the largest privately owned fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the country. We offer an extensive range of products including carbonated beverages, bottled water, juices, ice cream, cordial, milk powder, snacks, and spreads. PIL is the licensed and exclusive bottler for all PepsiCo products in Papua New Guinea and also serves as the distributor for Vita Juice, Vita Water, and Bega spreads. Our products are distributed nationwide through our 11 branches across Papua New Guinea. PIL operates two manufacturing facilities: the original factory in Rabaul and a new, state-of-the-art Krones facility in Port Moresby. We are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

This dynamic role requires strong problem-solving skills and people management capabilities within the FMCG market. The primary objective is to manage sales performance against budget targets by leveraging key sales relationships and coordinating with internal sales heads across all 11 branches. A significant focus will be on leading, inspiring, developing, and managing sales teams to pursue best practices, achieve targets, and meet key performance indicators.

This senior position is both customer- and people-centric, demanding a leader who thrives on building relationships, mentoring talent, and driving performance. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy, achieving ambitious targets, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. A key aspect of this role is inspiring, mentoring, coaching, and developing talent to align with strategic objectives for future growth and sustainability.

You will work collaboratively with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Workshop, and other internal departments to maximize efficiencies, customer service, profitability, revenue growth, market share, and brand equity.
