Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is seeking a full time Director of Sales to join our senior leadership team. Our 241 room, Premium 5 Star Hotel is located next to Hyde Park and close to Sydney\'s vibrant restaurants, bars, shopping and entertainment venues. We welcome a diverse range of guests every day with a mix of both corporate & leisure, as well as hosting and taking part in a variety of events, including Mardi Gras.
Job DescriptionReporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for driving the Sales and Conference & Event team to maximise market position of the Hotel and deliver on budget results. Supported by a close-knit team you will be expected to develop a strategic approach to ensure the acquisition of major business and partnership opportunities to achieve total hotel revenue targets.
You will be responsible for directing proactive sales for our 241 room Hotel, 6 conference and events rooms, Windows on the Park and Bistro 36. Key to success is maintaining and developing relationships with the Hotels current network, you will also be passionate about finding and converting new business opportunities. You will be responsible for guiding, leading and developing your team to ensure they meet and exceed their professional goals.
ResponsibilitiesDirect and drive sales strategy for the hotel and Conference & Events teams. Build and maintain relationships with current networks; identify and convert new business opportunities. Lead and develop the sales and C&E teams to meet and exceed professional goals. Collaborate with hotel leadership to achieve revenue targets across all property outlets and events.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have demonstrated sales experience in a hotel with a key focus on MICE business. You will be a naturally ambitious leader, and will be a strategic thinker who thrives on developing, implementing and communicating the hotel\'s sales vision.
Strong communication skills both verbally and written will be one of your key strengths, along with your strong business acumen and commercial understanding. You will be a hands-on leader who will drive our Heartist culture and loyalty within the team. You will have an obvious passion for forming ongoing relationships and delivering unforgettable guest experiences. Experience and knowledge of Opera, CVENT and Delphi will be highly regarded.
