Teacher – Science role at the Department of Education, Western Australia. We are seeking to establish a pool for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year. Role and Requirements
Responsibilities include differentiating learning to maximise student engagement and delivering and assessing the WA Science Curriculum in Years 7 to 10. Experience delivering and assessing ATAR courses offered by the school (Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Human Biology, Physics and Psychology) is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to promote the school's values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You should strive to build positive relationships with students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.
You should use a range of formative assessment strategies, engage in moderation and marking processes, provide effective, timely feedback to students and use data to evaluate and improve the impact of your teaching.

Eligibility
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start
