  • Experience with powers of entry execution under an authorised persons appointment.
  • Knowledge of or ability to interpret and understand Council's Local Laws and the Animal Management (Cats & Dogs) Act 2008 and other legislation specific to Animal Management.
  • High level written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft routine correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to capture and handle animals, in particular dogs, cats and livestock.
  • Ability to understand and assess dangerous animal behaviour.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and problem solve with a desire to find solutions in the best interests of the community.
  • Ability to relate in a courteous and diplomatic manner, particularly in dispute situations.
Benefits
  • Achieve work / life balance with flexible working arrangements

  • Recharge with up to 5 weeks annual leave
  • Up to 3 weeks personal leave
  • Cherish family time with up to 14 weeks paid parental leave

  • Embracing innovation and continuous improvement
  • Cultivating a culture of professional growth and support
