Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Principal Operational Veterinarian to join our high-performing team in Animal Biosecurity and Welfare.

As a frontline veterinarian, you will use your professional expertise to conduct complex animal disease investigations and surveillance activities, providing advice and analysis based on sound epidemiological knowledge.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Facilitating team and organisational capability development through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and leadership
  • Integrating and driving the team's development and maintenance of effective relationships, networks, and partnerships with stakeholders across the state
  • Working with the Manager of Veterinary Operations to develop, implement, and review an annual plan for the Veterinary Operations team

Requirements

A criminal history check is a requirement for all positions. The successful candidate will be based at one of two locations: the North region or the South Region.
