The Opportunity:

Primarily based in Fremantle, you'll play a critical role in enabling environmental compliance and emission reduction through the development and implementation of a group wide environmental management system. You'll provide direction and guidance to our on-site environmental teams and work with them to support effective risk management, monitoring, reporting and help identify opportunities to effectively monitor and reduce our emissions, waste and water use.

You'll get to showcase your skills and knowledge in:

• Environmental management systems and strategy
• Regulatory and licencing requirements for farming and food processing
• Waste water and effluent management
• Sustainability trends and best practice
• Maintaining effective relationships with regulators, suppliers and internal stakeholders

The successful applicant will possess:

• Degree in environmental science or related field
• At least 5 years' experience in an environmental management or compliance role
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, operating licences, monitoring programs, standards, and best practice in relation to water, land use, contamination and waste disposal
• Ability to lead a team of environmental professionals to deliver improved outcomes
• Ability to identify and implement improvements in waste management, water use and energy use
• Critical thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective strategic plans
• Competent in use of Office 365 applications
• Ability to plan and organise priorities to meet deadlines for multiple deliverables
• Experience in manufacturing would be highly regarded
