The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Asset Management Engineer to lead the maintenance and lifecycle management of key maritime infrastructure—with a direct focus on the Ocean Reef Marina project. This is a unique opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to a high-profile project that will leave a lasting legacy for Western Australia's coastline.
Ocean Reef Marina is one of Western Australia's most significant coastal developments, designed to transform the northern corridor into a vibrant hub for recreation, tourism, and marine services. As the Senior Asset Management Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term performance, safety, and sustainability of this landmark infrastructure.
This position is responsible for delivering strategic asset management outcomes and overseeing contract management activities that support the marina's operational readiness and future growth. You will be instrumental in shaping how assets are maintained, optimised, and adapted to meet evolving community and environmental needs.
The successful candidate will bring deep experience in asset management and maintenance programs for large-scale infrastructure, along with strong capabilities in procurement and contract management within relationship-based environments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic thinker and strong communicator with experience in project and contract management—especially in infrastructure, marine, or civil contexts.

There is currently 1 fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 3 years with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency.
The successful applicant or applicants assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment (fixed term or permanent) in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from date of first appointment.
About you
- Technical capability in implementing asset management frameworks to optimise asset performance.
- Strong project and contract management experience, ideally from civil, mechanical, coastal, or maritime infrastructure environments.
- Solutions-focused mindset and a talent for breaking down complex technical issues into clear, actionable steps.
- Comfortable managing consultants and contractors.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and thrive in an outcomes-driven
