Our small and intimate, boutique-style centre in Alfords Point is looking for an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Centre Director/Centre Manager who will become the heart of a family-owned centre in Alfords Point NSW.
The successful candidate will be able to improve the centre, increase its occupancy, and will have a strong focus on quality customer service delivery. They will develop strong relationships with families, possess strong leadership skills, and be passionate about creating a creative learning environment for children.
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with the Approved Provider to support educators and engage with families. Your role is crucial to the success of the service. If you are a passionate Early Childhood advocate, we would love to hear from you
About Us
Our early learning centre is a family-owned and operated child care centre in Alfords Point, with a sister centre in Belmore NSW. The owner has a background in public service and invests heavily in staff wellbeing, with a passion for quality childcare and early education. As the Centre Director, you will oversee daily operations while fostering a culture of care, collaboration, and excellence. Your leadership will set the tone for educators, families, and children, ensuring every interaction reflects kindness, quality, and heart-driven early learning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire educators to deliver exceptional care and education. Foster a culture of belonging and collaboration that encourages professional growth.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Regulations, and Standards (NQS).
- Family and Community Engagement: Build trust with families through open communication. Conduct centre tours for prospective families, showcasing the vibrant learning environment.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Review routines and practices to enhance learning experiences. Maintain the centre's self-assessment actively to identify and improve gaps.
- Occupancy Growth and Reputation Management: Build and maintain a strong reputation within the community. Drive enrolments through meaningful family engagement and showcasing the centre's offerings.
- Administration and Reporting: Manage enrolments, staff rosters, and software systems efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Centre Director or Operational Manager in early childhood education.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Diploma with a willingness to pursue an ECT qualification.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the NQF, Regulations, and NQS.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, conduct performance reviews, and manage conflicts professionally.
- Communication: Excellent in engaging families, leading tours, and building community trust with outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Compliance: Demonstrated expertise in maintaining compliance and implementing quality improvement plans.
- Certifications: Current First Aid, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificates, Working with Children Check, and police clearance.
