Director at Atherton Davis, specialist recruitment for Legal, Compliance, Risk & Company Secretarial

Large ASX listed Insurance Group is looking to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel for the regulatory engagement team on a 12-month contract basis.

You will join a small team that provides legal advice in relation to significant regulatory matters including litigation which tend to be longstanding and class action in nature involving key regulators which include ASIC, APRA, ACCC and SIRA. You will monitor and proactively manage any issues relating to legislative and regulatory change, manage regulatory engagement on behalf of the organisation as well as liaison with external counsel.

Looking for at least 7-8 years PQE level experience you bring a wealth of experience working on complex regulatory investigations preferably related to financial services regulation, ASIC matters etc. Ideally a top tier trained law firm background and some inhouse experience. You can work under pressure and to tight deadlines and enjoy networking and can build relationships easily.
