A well-established and growing insurance brokerage, located on Bundall in the Gold Coast, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Claims Officer to join their dynamic team. In this client-facing role, you will manage property insurance claims from end to end, ensuring smooth communication and efficient resolution for both residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential and commercial property claims, from lodgement through to resolution.
  • Assess claim validity by reviewing policy wording, coverage, and claim documentation.
  • Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, builders, and restoration contractors to facilitate timely repairs and settlements.
  • Provide regular updates and empathetic support to clients throughout the claims lifecycle.
  • Negotiate liability, settlement terms, and recoveries where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records in the claims management system and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate complex or high-value claims to senior management as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of claims handling processes.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 2+ years' experience in general insurance claims, ideally in property, home, or strata.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, liability principles, and recoveries.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
