Senior Client Services Manager – Chartered Accounting Firm

Central Parramatta CBD location (Hybrid work available)

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Managing Partner and Practice Manager, you will lead client relationship management for a designated portfolio, ensuring exceptional service delivery while identifying opportunities for growth. This role will see you managing a small team of Accountants, overseeing workflow, and acting as the primary liaison between clients and specialist service teams.

Your expertise will ensure clients receive timely, proactive advice, and you'll play a key role in delivering on our client service standards.

General job tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage and grow relationships within your portfolio, acting as the key contact for clients
• Oversee service delivery across tax, accounting, and advisory engagements
• Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell additional services
• Lead and mentor junior and support staff
• Monitor workflow, budgets, and deadlines to ensure service excellence
• Respond to client queries promptly and effectively
• Attend client meetings and present strategic recommendations to directors and stakeholders
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of projects
• Drive process improvements to enhance the client experience

About You

You are a strategic, client-focused professional with proven experience in senior account management or client services within an accounting or professional services environment. You thrive on building relationships, solving problems, and leading teams.

You balance commercial acumen with a genuine commitment to client care, and you're confident working directly with business owners, boards, and C-suite executives.

Key requirements

• Minimum 5+ years in a senior client services or account management role within accounting firm
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams
• Ability to interpret complex client needs and develop tailored solutions
• Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong commercial acumen and a focus on building long-term client relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with accounting software is an advantage)
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
