Lead the strategic HR processes that sit behind a diverse workforce and support organisation-wide performance.
As one of the fastest-growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural townships, and horticultural lands.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Organisational Development, you will play a critical part in shaping and refining systems, frameworks and processes that enable HR Partners and business managers to achieve excellence in human resources management for a diverse and exciting workforce incorporating operational, community services and corporate staff.
You will lead two HR Officers and collaborate closely with the HR Business Partnering team. As projects arise, you will engage with colleagues from a range of teams including Work Health and Safety, Injury Management, Learning and Development and Payroll. You will represent HR in engagements with key external stakeholders, including unions and service providers. With a whole-of-organisation lens, your work will influence a broad spectrum of outcomes, including productive employee relations and successful enterprise agreement negotiations, contributing meaningfully to a culture that values openness, fairness, and sustainability.
About You
Deeply knowledgeable of employment legislation, enterprise agreements and workforce policy; you'll bring a practical approach to systems and process improvement. Backed by a strong grasp of the IR/ER landscape, you're someone who sees the connections between data, decisions and service quality across the organisation.
Your ability to take complexity and turn it into clear and usable guidance will make you a trusted source of expertise. A steady hand in negotiations and an appreciation for the needs of diverse teams will be crucial as you support the delivery of sustainable, people-focused outcomes.
