The Package

The Package: $118, $129,487.28 gross per annum + 12% super inclusive of Market Premium. (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

Responsibilities
  • Assist in undertaking the function of a building certifier for the Queanbeyan Palerang Local Government Area.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and a high level of technical advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the assessment and management of construction certificates, complying development certificates, and Occupation Certificates and undertaking the Principal Certification role for applicants.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Holds and maintains accreditation as a Building Surveyor – Restricted (all classes of building) or higher, in accordance with the Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018.
  • Demonstrates expertise in applying relevant certification standards and legislation, including the National Construction Code, Local Government Act, Swimming Pools Act, and NSW Environmental Planning legislation.
  • Can demonstrate proven commitment to delivering high-quality customer service, with strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Has advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to mentor and support team members.
