We are recruiting for a Procurement Advisor to join our Oil and Gas client on an initial 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role is part of the Finance and Procurement Team and reports directly to the Assistant Director - Finance and Procurement.

Duties:
  • Provide purchasing and procurement support, including review and validation of vendor requests, coordination of tenders, and advice to ensure value for money and best practices in procurement.
  • Advise on the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), Contracts and Procurement policies, and the PGPA Act.
  • Oversee contract management, including tracking expiry dates.
  • Develop and monitor procurement policies, systems, and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Assist in preparing contract documentation and liaise with the Legal team for legal advice.
  • Manage AusTender processes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Assist in managing risks related to contracts and commercial issues, collaborating with relevant teams.
Essential Experience:
  • Knowledge of legislative frameworks for Commonwealth entities, especially the PGPA Act and CPRs.
  • Experience with finance ERP systems, electronic document management, and Microsoft Office.
  • Significant experience in a similar role or relevant tertiary qualification or certification.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively.
