About the RoleOur client is seeking a Head of Operations to lead and drive their operational performance across a high performing, industry leading team of 60+ team members. This is a highly varied, fast-paced, and reactive role, well-suited to an experienced operational leader who thrives on challenge, autonomy, and daily decision-making across people, process, and performance.
As a key member of the leadership team, you'll play a central role in not only managing day-to-day operations but also driving revenue growth and supporting the strategic expansion of the business. You'll have the freedom to identify and implement scalable solutions, improve commercial outcomes, and strengthen our operational foundation as they continue to grow.
Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Own and manage daily operations across eight departments, including a mix of full-time staff, contractors (including high-performing sales personnel), and offshore support teams.
- Team Management: Directly manage two middle managers (Sales & Due Diligence) while influencing and supporting a broader team of over 60 individuals as well as external suppliers.
- Process & Systems Oversight: Contribute to company-wide initiatives such as CRM implementation (Zoho), workflow automation, and the AI project to scale client-property matching efficiency.
- Commercial Decision Making: Make agile, customer-centric decisions regarding fees, client discounts, and engagement contracts.
- Project Delivery: Oversee ongoing projects including onboarding standardisation and tech integrations; drive improvements in efficiency and client experience.
- Revenue Monitoring: Track and support deal flow management across 50–65 property transactions monthly, representing property values in excess of $100M each month.
- Growth & Expansion: Partner with leadership to drive revenue growth and business expansion, identifying new operational efficiencies and scaling opportunities across teams and systems.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee contractor commissions and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely approval for payment. Collaborate with the Accounts team on reconciliations and initiate corresponding transactions in the business account. Oversee monthly payroll processing for full-time employees in conjunction with Accounts.
- Culture & Retention: Working in partnership with HR, foster a collaborative, supportive work environment with a strong track record of low team turnover and high engagement.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Financial Services, commercial finance or related professional services field ideally with exposure to property investment or real estate (desirable but not essential).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate qualifications desirable).
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills – self-directed, hands-on, collaborative, and capable of driving sales productivity, service excellence, and client satisfaction.
- Proven experience in a senior operations leadership role with strong operational, sales and team management capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in scaling services-based businesses, with a strategic, commercial mindset and strong financial acumen, including experience in revenue management, cost control, and reporting.
