KPMG's Global Mobility Services (GMS) Advisory and Compliance team helps multinational organisations manage the complexities of a globally mobile workforce. Our experts provide solutions and advice to navigate tax, immigration, social security, and compliance challenges across multiple jurisdictions. We partner with clients to advise on global tax planning, policy design, expatriate payroll compliance, risk management, and immigration strategies, delivering value-added insights and comprehensive support.

Your Team Our US-Australia Tax Services team sits within the GMS team, assisting in navigating cross-border tax obligations across the US and Australia. We help multinational organisations, executives, start-ups and individuals with links to the US structure their business and investments to mitigate double taxation and ensure global compliance.

As a Manager in the US and Australian Tax Services team, you will apply your expertise to assist clients with the unique tax challenges associated with US and Australian cross-border activities. You will work with high-net-worth clients, family offices, multinational organisations and privately owned businesses across a range of industries, helping them navigate the intricate requirements of Australian and US tax legislation.

With demonstrated experience in US and Australian Tax services, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide tax advisory and compliance services to clients with cross-border tax considerations, focusing on Australian and US tax matters (US tax experience is mandatory).
• Assist clients in navigating cross-border tax issues, including identifying Australian tax residency considerations and their implications for personal and business tax matters.
• Apply professional expertise in Australian and US tax legislation and regulations in cross-border contexts to provide tailored, compliant solutions.
• Ensure tax forms and schedules submitted to tax authorities, such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), are accurate and reliable.
• Work closely with high-net-worth clients, family offices, and privately owned businesses to understand their needs, providing actionable insights and solutions.
• Support team leads in delivering US and Australian tax services for clients operating in multiple jurisdictions, including expatriates and multinational organisations.
• Stay updated on relevant tax regulations and provide timely guidance to clients on legislative changes impacting cross-border taxation.
