Responsibilities
  • Processing expiation notices issued by SAPOL members and outside agencies.
  • Financial management services.
  • Creating, maintaining, storing and releasing of information essential to SAPOL\'s mission of reducing crime and serving the community.
  • Management of SAPOL\'s physical assets including fleet, property and facilities.
  • Procurement and contract management services.

Business Service operates to provide an effective, professional service for all customers (internal and external).

  • Corporate Budget and Resource Planning
  • Maintain the management of the Treasury function
  • Strategic Financial Management Reporting and Systems
  • Capital Planning and Management
  • Accounting Policy and Improvement
  • Financial Accounting services
  • Management Accounting services to SAPOL business areas
  • Department of Treasury and Finance Liaison

The Graduate Accountant may rotate across various SAPOL Services including Business Service (Financial Management Service Branch) carrying out financial investigations and projects, and contributing to the provision of comprehensive, timely and accurate financial information, which assist the Department meet its financial management and reporting obligations.

Requirements
  • Appropriate degree in one of the following disciplines - Accountancy, Business, Economics or Commerce, majoring in accounting.
Salary

ASO3 - $67,589 - $72,033 per annum.
