Undergraduate/Graduate Accountant

We are seeking enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate accountants aiming to get a head-start in their career in the accounting profession.

With a strong reputation in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide and with a supportive team of experienced professionals, our practice offers an excellent learning environment to help you gain valuable experience in the fundamentals of public practice accounting.

• $45,000 - $55,000 plus superannuation and other benefits (full-time equivalent).

Requirements for the role

• Currently studying, or recently completed, a Bachelor degree in in Commerce / Accounting.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• An eagerness to learn in a practical 'hands-on' environment.

Job specification

Most of our clients are small businesses or families seeking assistance with tax compliance and practical accounting and tax advice. We offer a 'hands on' service with a focus on personalised service, efficient turnaround times and sound, timely advice.

Primary tasks and responsibilities of an undergraduate / graduate accountant will include:

• Assistance with reception duties and administrative tasks (as part of the broader role).
• Preparation of template letters to clients.
• Prepare basic tax returns and BAS for clients under the direction of our senior accountants and partners.
• Assist with financial statements preparation for a wide range of clients with guidance from our senior accountants and partners.
• Completing work using our practice's well-established and well-designed workpapers.
• Communicating with our team members and working with / reporting to our senior accountants and partners.
• Interacting with clients, responding to issues in a practical way, providing our clients with a positive experience.
• Bringing a positive attitude to our workplace.
