Since 1925, ESSSuper and the funds before it have served the Victorian State Government, its employer agencies and their employees.

We administer the State's statutory defined benefit superannuation funds and obligations. Additionally, we administer accumulation-style products such as the ESSSuper Accumulation Plan and account-based Income Streams.

Our mission is to grow and protect our members' superannuation and support them throughout their lives. With around 124,500 members holding over $37 billion in defined benefit and accumulation net assets (as at 30 June 2024), we're well-positioned to continue serving our members for years to come.

About the position

We're looking for an individual that is passionate about working with and supporting our Member Advice team that deliver an exceptional member experience in the provision of holistic and scaled financial planning advice.

This role is central to the achievement of our member service standards and fulfils a critical function in coordinating and progressing the implementation of financial plans as part of our Member Advice Team. Working side by side with our team of Advisers and Paraplanners you will:

  • Assist with member inquiries and building high quality member relationships;
  • Maintain accurate business and client records on Xplan;
  • Prepare documents for member appointments, quotes and applications;
  • Liaise with superannuation funds, insurance providers and financial institutions;
  • Prepare Statement of Advice (SOA) documents provided by Paraplanners;
  • Work with Financial Planners, members and other third parties to collect the information necessary to produce statements of advice (SOA); and,
  • Implement the advice recommendations for members.

What we're looking for

A professional administrator with a track record of working both swiftly and accurately to exceed member expectations. You will also;

  • Have a genuine interest in a career within financial planning / advice
  • Be degree qualified, preferably in a finance related field
  • Experience with Xplan or similar CRM software is highly desirable
  • Be a great team player who brings vibrancy and energy
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Have excellent attention to detail in both written and verbal communication with the ability to maintain these standards when operating under tight deadlines
  • Ideally have at least 2 years demonstrated customer service or administration experience, within a financial services business or superannuation fund
  • Display a willingness to learn, thrives on responsibility and proactively contributes to exceeding our standards for member service, ethics and compliance
  • Is genuinely member centric, can work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and is results oriented
