Base pay range

A$35.00/hr - A$40.00/hr

Drake International is proud to partner with a leading supplier and fabricator of reinforcing steel.
We currently have two exciting opportunities available

Customer Service Operator: 7:00am - 3:30pm
(Role is primarily based in Bayswater with some travel required to Lynbrook, Kilsyth, and Pakenham)

Dispatch Coordinator: 10:00am - 5:30pm
(Role is based in Noble Park, flexibility required to work until 6pm and occasionally cover Day Shift 5:00am to 1:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Handle incoming phone and front counter enquiries
  • Prepare quotes and follow up with customers
  • Build and manage long term customer relationships
  • Enter sales data accurately into systems

Administration

  • Process invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders
  • Assist with accounts payable and debt collection
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports
  • Support inventory management and cash handling

Transport Coordination

  • Schedule truck deliveries and prepare required paperwork
  • Monitor freight costs and ensure efficiency
  • Understand truck load capacities
  • Process PODs and transport related invoices

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to and promote company safety policies
  • Report hazards and incidents promptly
  • Participate in safety audits and complete safety calendar
  • Conduct contractor inductions

Additional Outcomes

  • Manage the customer journey from quote through to delivery
  • Ensure data accuracy and up-to-date account records
  • Coordinate effectively with sales, scheduling, and production teams
  • Provide reliable support to both internal and external stakeholders

About You

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer service, administration, or transport and logistics role
  • Confident negotiator and problem solver
  • Highly organised with strong planning ability
  • Proficient in computer systems and data entry
  • Able to work in fast paced, customer facing environments
  • Comfortable making decisions under pressure
