About The Role: Founded by The Sisters of Charity in 1857, our +30,000 healthcare professionals operate public and private hospitals, residential aged care, community and virtual care, and outreach programs.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of education programs to meet the needs of staff working within clinical environments.
- Work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Managers, Nurse Manager Perioperative Services, Stream Manager and the Nurse Manager for Education.
- Ensure all staff have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence.
- Ensure evidence-based practice principles have been utilised in the development of curriculum, programs, policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation.
- Responsible for education portfolios/programs in collaboration with the Nursing Education Department and for ensuring that the education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Relevant postgraduate education qualifications or relevant postgraduate clinical qualifications with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge and experience in an acute care facility within the Perioperative environment.
- Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and clinical skills and develop, implement and evaluate education programs using innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches, including e-learning.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
