Responsibilities
Curriculum Architect: Develop, roll out and refine comprehensive learning pathways for all staff—from new graduates and postgraduate students to undergraduate nursing placements and new employees.
Educational Champion: Offer expert leadership, mentorship and support to our team of Clinical Nurse Educators, fostering continuous professional growth.
Academic Collaborator: Partner with tertiary institutions and specialty Nurse Educators to co-create, launch and assess postgraduate nursing courses.
Strategic Planner: Lead the planning and deployment of targeted educational strategies for the Ward/Unit/Service nursing workforce, ensuring alignment with district-wide excellence standards.
Ongoing Support & Development: Benefit from direct backing by the John Hunter Hospital Executive Team, with tailored professional development and a structured job-share handover to set you up for success.

John Hunter Hospital, New Lambton Heights, NSW—an exceptional location serving the Hunter region and beyond, with convenient access to major roads and public transport.
Requirements
Hold or be eligible for current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Post-registration nursing/midwifery clinical or education qualifications relevant to the clinical area or qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer.
Demonstrated experience in a management role.
Additional Information
This is a Category A position.
