About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Production Coordinator to lead our Powdercoat team across the day and afternoon shifts. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is central to the smooth running of our powdercoating operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity are maintained at every stage.

  • Lead, coach and support the Powdercoat team across all aspects of the powder coating process, including:
  • Powder coating
  • Loading & unloading
  • Quality assurance
  • Deliver the production plan in full and on time, making the best use of people and equipment to meet targets.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly to keep production moving.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, resolving conflicts where needed.
  • Coordinate training to build a multi-skilled, capable team.
  • Champion health, safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects.
  • Work closely with the supply and maintenance teams to resolve material & equipment issues.
What You'll Bring
  • Previous experience in powder coating within a production line environment.
  • A Certificate III in Engineering or Surface Preparation & Coating (desirable).
  • Strong leadership qualities – able to lead by example, motivate and coach a team.
  • A safety-first mindset with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a small team.
