About The Role Are you ready to make a real impact on the safety and sustainability of some of our most vital infrastructure? Join the Service Enablement Headworks Team as a Specialist Asset Manager, where you'll play a central role in shaping the future of dam safety across the region.
Reporting to the Manager Service Enablement Headworks/Principal Dams Engineer, this is far more than just an asset management position, it's a chance to lead innovative projects, build collaborative relationships, and bring modern dam safety management strategies to life.
You'll take the lead in developing and implementing processes that ensure our dam safety management framework continues to deliver world-class performance.
Working closely with the Principal Dams Engineer and a range of passionate professionals both inside and outside the organisation, you'll also design and refine short to medium-term programs of work across our dam safety portfolio.

Provide technical expertise as dam safety subject matter expert in asset management through project delivery and oversight of project intent.
Acceptance of new assets through Handover processes, including acceptance of functional requirements and quality.
Program and lead dam safety and other asset class condition inspections, design reviews, engineering analysis and risk assessments across the water supply and drainage portfolios.
Develop and review surveillance regimes and respond to, analyse and interpret collected data and physical observations and queries from field staff to determine performance and potential emergency alert levels for dams and other asset classes.
Monitor and report on compliance with Regulatory and duty of care obligations for dam safety including management of risk profile data, emergency response plans, operations and maintenance and surveillance/performance status.
Monitor and develop maintenance strategies for assets within the headworks portfolio Manage consultants through project investigations, analysis, risk assessments and project development stage including design.
Investigate and develop business cases for small to medium scale risk reduction, renewals and service improvement projects across the Headworks portfolio to balance risk, service delivery and whole of lifecycle cost About You Tertiary degree in civil or mechanical engineering or similar field Active engineering registration in a related discipline is required.
Extensive experience and knowledge of dam safety management principles.
Extensive understanding and experience in dam safety management principles and the Regulatory environment in Victoria.
Experience in managing infrastructure assets.
Experience and knowledge of good practice in either asset management, project management or asset planning processes, risk assessment and management techniques.
Strong financial and commercial acumen skills Proficiency in the use and application of Asset Management systems (e.g.
