Commercial Manager - Genuine Senior Leadership Opportunity

As a senior leader, you'll mentor staff, promote the business, and contribute to developing a high-performing and supportive team culture.
Role
This is a strategic senior leadership position reporting directly to the General Manager.
Acting as their 2 IC, you will help shape the business strategy and support the continued growth of the QLD business unit.
Leading contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and subcontractor agreements
Identifying and driving business development and strategic growth opportunities in the market
Managing budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting across the project portfolio
Overseeing variation management, claims resolution, and contract risk mitigation
Providing commercial insight and strategic advice to project and executive teams
Ensuring compliance with relevant quality, safety, and financial standards
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Mentoring, developing, and supporting commercial staff to achieve their full potential
About You
You will bring a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership capability, along with a passion for business growth and team development.
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of commercial leadership experience within the commercial construction sector
Proven ability to manage P&L, negotiate contracts, assess risk, and implement commercial strategies
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence project and client outcomes
Highly organised, commercially astute, and focused on margin protection and delivery excellence
