The Finance Branch provides advice to operational managers on purchasing and fleet management, manages accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, asset records, coordinates remote area housing, consolidates budgets, maintains core financial software, and produces management, tax, and statutory reports.
We currently have an opportunity for a Manager of Accounting Operations within our team.
This position is responsible for managing the activities of the Accounting Services Section to ensure timely and efficient delivery of accounting services.
It provides financial advice, collaborates with business units on solutions, and ensures compliance with the Financial Management Act 2006 and other relevant legislation.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria in no more than four (4) pages:

Well-developed skills and substantial experience in leading, managing, and facilitating a team, including the ability to lead individuals through continuous change to deliver organisational outcomes.
Working knowledge and experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing card, and banking in a large organisation.
Extensive knowledge and experience in applying the Financial Management Act 2006 and Treasurer's Instructions to departmental accounting procedures and practices.
High-level skills in using complex financial management systems and other business software packages.
