As part of our transformative growth journey, we're looking for a proactive, customer-focused Inside Sales Account Manager to join our high-performing sales team.

What You'll Be Doing As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you'll manage a state-based customer portfolio primarily through phone, Teams, and occasional face-to-face meetings.
Your role supports our broader SME customer base, focused on relationship management, retention, and new business development.
Account Management Responsibilities Manage and grow a designated customer portfolio Build strong, long-term relationships through regular contact and call cycles Drive customer engagement, retention, and satisfaction Implement General Rate Increases (GRI) and manage rate-related discussions Handle freight compliance, contract negotiation, and customer off-boarding if required Address queries and escalations, including quotes, vendor forms, and stop trades Deliver insightful business reviews and manage customer reporting New Business Development Conduct cold calling and lead generation campaigns Onboard new customers and manage operational handover, including Dangerous Goods Generate and share tailored rate offers through Docu Sign Guide new customers on our shipping platform 'My Team GE'Support 'unmanaged' customers within Tasmania where needed CRM & Sales Process Excellence Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in Salesforce Ensure call cycle frequencies and contact details are up to date Monitor and influence share of wallet performance Support sales campaigns and participate in trade shows or interstate travel as required What We're Looking For Previous experience in inside sales, customer account management, or business development Comfortable managing phone-based and digital client relationships Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Proficient in using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms Highly organised, driven, and passionate about customer success Ability to analyse trends and offer tailored solutions to customer needs A team player who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment Valid Driver's Licence A degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or Logistics (desirable)What Success Looks Like Achieving revenue and new business targets Maintaining customer engagement via regular call cycle contact Logging all activity and customer insights in Salesforce100% GRI compliance and retention performance Delivering positive, proactive customer outcomes across your portfolio Why Join Team Global Express?A national business undergoing exciting transformation Supportive, people-first culture where your contribution matters A structured Inside Sales model focused on SME growth Career development and professional growth opportunities Tools, systems, and support to enable your success Be Part of the Movement Team Global Express is more than just freight — we're delivering change.
