About You You come from a background where tight deadlines, clear communication, and storytelling are critical - journalism, senior communications, marketing, or bid management.
You're not just a writer - you're a communicator who understands strategy, positioning, and audience insight.
You've led teams or projects and know how to bring out the best in others.
You excel at distilling complex technical information into narratives that are engaging, accurate, and client-focused.
You thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about mentoring and development.
Experience in construction or infrastructure bidding is a bonus - but your ability to tell a great story is what matters most.
Qualifications and Experience Proven experience in storytelling, content creation, or communications under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership or project management experience.
Experience in bid or proposal development, or related strategic business communications.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications are desirable.
Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate end-to-end proposal development processes for major bids, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
Craft persuasive, engaging narratives that clearly communicate BMD's value proposition and differentiate us in a competitive market.
Manage, mentor, and upskill a small team of proposal writers and coordinators to elevate the team's overall writing and bid capabilities.
Collaborate closely with business units, technical leads, and subject matter experts to shape content into clear, strategic responses.
Oversee bid strategy, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline adherence for all proposal submissions.
Continuously improve proposal processes, tools, and standards to enhance efficiency and quality.
