For this position, we're seeking an operations leader to drive innovation and execution excellence in our Sort Center operations.
This leader will be comfortable managing and inspiring large teams, able to think strategically (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic and data-intensive operations environment.
The successful candidate will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting both daily operational activities and large, complex and cross-functional projects.
This individual must have a curious mind-set, excellent analytical abilities, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.

Key job responsibilities Oversee and improve performance of all aspects of sortation operations at BWU5 co-located site including but not limited to: Leading sort center activities and coordination of staff plans and operating schedules.
Hiring and developing a strong performing team fostering a culture of safety, customer obsession and engagement.
Evaluating and implementing process quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
Encouraging and strengthening our strong culture of health and safety best practices.
Contributing to cross-functional projects as needed.
Writing well-reasoned and data-driven proposals, performing own data analysis as required.
Basic Qualifications2+ years of employee and performance management experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience Acknowledgement Of Country In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
