An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Billing team at Diamond Energy, an Energy Bay brand.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave, with potential for extension.
We are looking for a Commercial Billing Coordinator that has a focus on (data analysis) to join our dynamic team.
This role will be responsible for ownership of timely and accurate billing of Embedded Network utility services This role provides a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the renewable energy market, whilst providing exceptional services to our embedded network clients.

• Lifecycle billing, including first bills, routine-bills, exception bills, and final bills for customers inside Embedded Networks.
This includes electricity (SME and C&I) and other utility services such as hot water, gas, or air conditioning
• Reviewing and verifying meter data to ensure accurate billing and working with meter data teams to resolve discrepancies or issues identified related to meter readings or usage data
• Preparing billing reports, account summaries, and financial data for internal stakeholders and analysing billing data for trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
• Tracking of embedded network sites to ensure Billing and reporting are progressed accurately in a timely manner
• Investigating and resolving disputes raised by customers regarding billing discrepancies or unusual charges
• Timely completion of bill runs for EN sites and EN Billing Dashboard preparation
• Ownership of guides and processes for embedded network billing.
• Incorporating EN specific billing practices in to existing billing procedures and guidelines, adhering to energy industry rules and regulations
• Ensuring products are updated and checked as part of the pricing review process
• Identifying and implementing improvements to billing procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience You will be successful in the role if you possess: Minimum 2+ years of experience in utility billing, preferably within embedded networks Tertiary qualifications in an IT-related or STEM discipline Strong data analysis and programming skills, including proficiency in SQL and Python Experience in meter data management and billing for: Electricity customers within embedded networks, Gas and hot water services, Distributed energy resources (DERs) such as EV charging or telecommunications Proven ability in data management and reporting, with a keen eye for accuracy and trends Proficiency in CRM and billing systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, accurate work within defined timeframes Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities simultaneously A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction You'll love working here because:
