Job Summary:Healthy Kids at Play is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Psychologist to take on a pivotal leadership role in our growing multidisciplinary team.
This position will oversee and provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior and provisional psychologists while leading the development and expansion of our psychology services.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for team development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality psychological care within a neuroaffirming and client-centered framework.What We're Looking For:We are currently seeking a Psychology Team Leader to lead, mentor, and support our dedicated team of clinicians at our Werribee clinic.To succeed in this role, you will:Have extensive clinical experience in clinical interventions and/or assessments, demonstrating a strong foundation in evidence-based practices.Be passionate about supporting the professional development of your clinical team members.Provide clinical supervision and support, fostering a culture of continuous growth and learning.Thrive in a role that offers variety, allowing you to leverage your personal strengths across multiple areas of practice.Be excited to contribute to and inform the strategic direction of the business, driving innovation and growth within our psychology services.Key Responsibilities:Supervision & Oversight: Provide clinical supervision, support, and oversight to junior and provisional psychologists, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.Team Development: Lead the establishment and growth of the psychology team, implementing best practices, fostering collaboration, and driving strategic initiatives.Psychological Services Delivery: Conduct psychological assessments, diagnoses, and evidence-based interventions for clients across various settings.Clinical Leadership: Develop and oversee the implementation of treatment plans, ensuring high standards of care and client outcomes.Collaboration: Work alongside multidisciplinary team members, including speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and behaviour support practitioners, to provide holistic care.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure the maintenance of accurate client records and compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and NDIS standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong professional relationships with clients, families, caregivers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.Professional Development: Drive ongoing learning within the psychology team through mentorship, training, and continuous professional development opportunities.Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in PsychologyFull registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical supervision of provisional or junior psychologistsDemonstrated experience in team leadership and service developmentStrong knowledge of psychological theories, assessments, and evidence-based interventionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamHigh-level organizational and time management skillsExperience working within the NDIS framework is highly desirableWhy Join Us?Opportunity to lead and shape the psychology services at Healthy Kids at PlayCollaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team environmentFlexible working arrangements to support work-life balanceCompetitive remuneration packageOngoing professional development and leadership growth opportunities482 visa employer sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
