The Maternity Unit, Launceston General Hospital: The Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is the major referral hospital in Northern Tasmania.
As a Registered Midwife, you will be part of the team delivering approximately 1,600 newborns each year.
The unit includes a 6-bed Labour Ward, 28-bed Maternity, and 9-bed Special Care Unit, providing a fast-paced and rewarding work environment.

The Role: This position coordinates daily patient care activities in the Pregnancy Assessment Clinic (PAC), including managing admissions, transfers, discharges, and monitoring complex pregnancies in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
Work in a supportive team environment with a positive culture.
Provide high-level nursing/midwifery care within the PAC setting.
This is a permanent part-time role; relocation allowances may be available for the right candidate.

Details of appointment: Permanent part-time, shift work (fully rotational), 40 hours per fortnight, starting from a mutually agreed date.
Hours are negotiable.
The selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to 12 months.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro-rata), with an additional 12% superannuation contribution.
Salary progression to Grade 4 (range $99,455-$105,995) may be available upon successful application.
Additional allowances, such as Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10%, may also be available.
Salary Packaging: Benefits include salary packaging options up to $9,010 for living expenses and $2,650 for meal entertainment annually, plus other benefits if eligible.
Benefits for eligible candidates: Relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas applicants and $10,000 for interstate applicants, professional development, leave entitlements including study leave, and Fitness Passport access for you and your family.
Eligibility: Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold current Working with Children Registration.
Desirable: relevant tertiary qualifications or working towards them.
