Job Title: Clinical Learning And Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Learning and Development Manager at St Vincent's and St Luke's Hospital in Launceston.

The key responsibility of this role is to develop, implement and evaluate learning strategies for both nursing and support staff. This will involve collaborating with the Director of Clinical Services to identify education and training needs that align with the hospital's clinical services plan, national safety and quality health services standards and Calvary National Education and Training Framework.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying specific learning requirements for each department through annual education needs analysis
  • Ensuring educational activities are identified with the needs and expectations of our customers understood
  • Maintaining current knowledge of nursing and healthcare best practice
  • Coordinating the development of evidence-based educational activities to meet the requirements of the hospital's quality initiatives
  • Participating in the development of and effectively managing the education team to meet budget targets
  • Coordinating training and education to facilitate staff to be compliant with mandatory training requirements in line with Calvary national benchmarks


Required Skills and Qualifications:

Registration with AHPRA and in possession of a current practising certificate. Minimum Certificate 3 in Training and Assessment. Experience in leadership roles. Commitment to continue professional development. Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing issues and practices pertaining to position. Good computer literacy and ability to run reports.
