Remote Biology Researcher (Ph D) - 348801 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Are you passionate about solving challenging biology problems?Turing is seeking Ph D-level researchers in Biology to test the reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs).
Your role will involve creating biology problems, analyzing model responses, and identifying gaps in logic or understanding.
The objective is to evaluate how effectively these models handle abstract thinking and structured problem-solving.
Day-to-day responsibilities include: Creating biology problems, reviewing AI solutions, and providing insights on the model's understanding of complex reasoning and logical steps.
Evaluating the logic behind scientific claims, such as immune signaling pathways, e.g., IL-2 promoting T cell proliferation, or assessing student strategies for studying plant stress genes using methods like CRISPR, q PCR, and phenotypic observation.
Providing clear, constructive feedback with examples.
Qualifications: Enrolled in or completed a Ph.
D.
or Postdoctoral in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written communication skills, especially in remote settings.
Ability to work independently with stable computer and internet access.
Note: Only candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing a Ph.
D.
will be considered.
Time Commitment & Contract Details: At least 4 hours per day, minimum 20 hours per week, with 4 hours overlap with PST.
Options for 20, 30, or 40 hours per week.
Contractor/freelancer role, no medical or paid leave.
Duration: 1 month, starting next week.
