Teaching Biology and Science

The role of a science teacher is an exciting and challenging one, requiring a deep understanding of scientific principles and the ability to communicate complex ideas to students.

You will work collaboratively with the Science Faculty to deliver curriculum requirements to students across Year 7 - Year 12, covering a staff member on Maternity Leave. This role requires experience teaching Stage 6 Biology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate clear alignment with Biblical principles and sound doctrine in subject matter delivery.
  • Show strong subject knowledge and current educational research.
  • Develop well-planned lessons that engage students effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on team planning and/or team teaching.
Pastoral Care and Welfare Duties:
  • Share devotions and pray with students.
  • Support students' spiritual, physical, social, emotional well-being, and safety.
  • Respond to pastoral care issues efficiently and timely.
Administrative and Operational Needs:
  • Maintain accurate student attendance records.
  • Prepare and review reports for various stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with planned learning activities.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • A committed Christian involved in their local evangelical church.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications with a clear understanding of being a Christian teacher.
