As a postdoctoral researcher in our Viral Immunology Systems Program, you will work closely with both wet and dry lab members to perform cutting-edge bioinformatics and systems biology analyses.

Our team is seeking a highly motivated candidate with expertise in single-cell transcriptomics, flow cytometry, and next-generation sequencing data of viral genomes. Your focus will be on developing and applying advanced computational methods for these applications.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to investigate immune responses against various pathogens, including HCV and influenza, in collaboration with national and international research groups.

To succeed in this position, you should possess:

  • A PhD in computational biology, mathematics, or related fields
  • Expertise in bioinformatics and/or computational biology
  • Experience in genomics and/or transcriptomics analyses
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, and C++
  • Evidence of publications in influential journals
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a team

The annual salary for this position ranges from AUD $89,051 – $95,248 (plus 9.5% superannuation p.a.), depending on qualifications and expertise.
