We are currently looking for a passionate and highly dedicated Sous Chef to join our Oasis Team at The Star Sydney.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for you to progress your career and develop your skills under the mentorship of some of the best chefs in SydneyA few of your responsibilities: Assist Chef de Cuisine to manage the effectiveness of guest service, team members performance and development and service enhancements Oversee both Asian & Western stations by supervising and leading by example Train and coach Commis and Demi Chefs, and guide employees to perform kitchen operations Ensure outlets comply with HACCP standards by conducting daily monitoring and walkthroughs of the back of house Review stocktake daily and ensure appropriate orders have been made and stock received What we are looking for: Solid Chef de Partie/Jr Sous Chef experience and relevant tertiary qualifications, such as Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment Strong understanding of produce, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to commit to 40 hours per week working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays About you: As a dedicated and passionate sous chef, you bring a strong foundation of culinary expertise, leadership, and creativity to every kitchen you work in.
