As our new Sales Development Manager, you'll lead the high-impact team responsible for sparking those first, crucial conversations with potential customers.
This role is at the heart of our Go-to-Market strategy, sitting at the intersection of sales and marketing to drive collaboration, pipeline generation, and opportunity creation.

Responsibilities What you'll be doing Lead a high-performing SDR function Build, coach, and inspire a best-practice Sales Development team that consistently delivers high-quality Sales Qualified Opportunities (SQOs) aligned to Sage's revenue model.
Bridge sales and marketing Drive tight alignment with marketing campaigns, sales targets, and strategic priorities.
Ensure SDRs are a trusted partner to both functions—delivering insight-rich leads and pipeline that converts.
Drive accountability and impact Create a culture of ownership, results, and continuous improvement.
Set high standards, ensure they're maintained, and build an environment where SDRs take pride in every call, email, and conversion.
Coach and grow your team Establish a learning path for each SDR that builds confidence, capability, and career development.
Motivate your team with targeted coaching, clear KPIs, and meaningful incentives.
Deliver predictable, high-quality pipeline Ensure your team is sourcing SQOs in line with revenue targets and providing sales executives with the insights, coverage, and context they need to close effectively.
Champion a service-first mindset Embed a "managed service" mentality where SDRs view salespeople and marketers as their internal customers—focusing on delivering value, support, and a seamless buyer journey.
Partner across the business Work closely with Sales, Field Marketing, HR, and Operations to ensure SDR onboarding, training, tools, and messaging are always up to date and built for maximum productivity.
Innovate, analyse, and optimise Use data, dashboards, and performance metrics to track success and inform change.
Continuously refine outreach strategy, messaging, and processes by persona, industry, and market trends.
What you bring Proven experience leading a high-performing SDR or Inside Sales team in a B2 B tech or Saa S environment Strong understanding of demand generation, pipeline management, and revenue alignment Excellent coaching, people development, and performance management skills Experience partnering with both marketing and sales to drive conversion success A passion for technology and how it can drive scale and efficiency (CRM, sales engagement, automation tools)Strategic mindset with hands-on ability to drive change and lead from the front Comfortable using data to make decisions, optimise processes, and communicate results Why this role matter You'll be the force behind a high-performing SDR team that doesn't just hit targets—it fuels the growth of the entire business.
