As Project Officer, Environment and Utilities, you will: Support the delivery of projects under the department's climate, infrastructure, and assets strategy.
Implement programs and projects, identifying risks and managing expectations on time and within budget.
Draft advice concerning facility services, including management and reduction of waste, electricity, and water.
The Opportunity (Key Responsibilities/Duties): Support the delivery of projects under the department's climate, infrastructure, and assets strategy.
Implement programs and projects, identifying risks and managing expectations on time and within budget within the department's program management framework.
Draft advice concerning facility services, including management and reduction of waste, electricity, and water, and reporting across all services and initiatives.
Manage utility contracts and vendors, including processing consolidated accounts, data collation, and seeking efficiencies while maintaining service standards.
Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence, and data analysis to communicate and evaluate the department's performance against targets, including legislative reporting requirements.
Undertake policy and legislation research and analysis to develop standards, processes, and procedures, focusing on risk management, compliance, sustainability, and cost-effective initiatives such as emission reduction, waste, and energy management.
Evaluate existing business processes to identify areas for improvement, design solutions, and develop them using Microsoft products.
Maintain and develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to stay informed on emergent climate management issues.
What We Are Looking For (Qualifications, Registrations, Experience): An understanding of budget and financial principles.
Demonstrated experience managing environment and utilities-related projects.
Evidence of meeting the eligibility requirements will be required during the selection process.
