An exciting full-time opportunity has arisen for a Competition Administrator based in Townsville on a 1-year contract, with the potential for extension. The role has been created due to a partnership between Queensland Cricket and North QLD Cricket Association.

About the role

Reporting to the Systems & Competitions Manager, the Competition Administrator - North QLD will play a crucial role in supporting Queensland Cricket's Community Cricket team to achieve key organisational objectives to grow participation while ensuring high-quality administration of competitions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Increase participation by managing stable, sustainable and professional competitions including Club training and support
  • Competition Management via PlayHQ for the Association
  • Plan and coordinate the Association competitions in accordance with Australian Cricket Pathway
  • Coordination of match fixturing of competitions via the PlayHQ system
  • Maintenance of Association website and social media channels
  • Development of sponsorship plans, and sourcing sponsors to drive income
  • Liaising with local media to promote regional cricket activities
  • General administrations regarding external communications, and updating key zone and association documents

About you

The successful person will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in community sport
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people in the region
  • High level administration skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience with the PlayHQ is preferred but not essential
  • Problem solving skills and ability to drive system based solutions
  • Current blue card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services Qld
