With a key focus on providing engineered solar, lithium & diesel solutions, they have market-leading in-house expertise that comprise of design & engineering, manufacturing & installation and servicing, operations & maintenance.

Description

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and day to day accounting operations for the Australian business unit.

Key tasks will also include:

  • Manage the preparation of monthly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, project accounting and variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Credit card management
  • Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the Australian business unit
  • Manage cash flow for the Australian business, including developing and monitoring a 12-week rolling cash forecast
  • Process fortnightly payroll and weekly supplier payments
  • Prepare and lodge monthly/quarterly/GST/PRT returns
  • Prepare annual FBT returns
  • Annual R&D claim preparation
  • Oversee AP/AR functions
  • Manage fixed asset accounting
  • Support Group Financial Controller with tax compliance
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with professional standards
  • Manage grant reporting

Profile

The successful candidate will be a CA/CPA Qualified Accountant with experience in either commercial accounting, not-for-profits or public practice firms. Key traits will include:

  • Exposure to month end, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project analysis and financial analysis
  • Ability to travel or relocate to Darwin
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with non-financial stakeholders
