About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our team at North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA). As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake bank reconciliations and provide general accounting support and guidance
  • Complete month-end general ledger reconciliations and compile grant applications
  • Maintain the asset register and assist with audit preparation and required documentation
  • Reconcile credit card and petty cash and prepare ad-hoc and regular reports as required
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the not-for-profit or public sector
  • Expertise in financial management, accounting, and budgeting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality financial outcomes
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary package with salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax-free (conditions apply)
  • A remote allowance of $3,300 per annum (if applicable)

  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • 3 weeks personal leave
