About the Role

As the Senior Finance Officer at NAAJA, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and reporting of our dynamic organisation. You will assist the Senior Accountant to manage and deliver the finance function with motivation and a commitment to professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake bank reconciliations and provide general accounting support and guidance
  • Complete month end general ledger reconciliations and compile grant applications
  • Assist the Financial Accountant/Senior Accountant in preparing acquittals with internal stakeholders and maintain the asset register
  • Reconcile credit card and petty cash and prepare ad-hoc and regular reports as required
What We're Looking For
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the not-for-profit or public sector
  • Expertise in financial management, accounting, and budgeting principles and procedures
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality financial outcomes
Requirements
  • Right to work in Australia with no restrictions
  • Satisfactory national criminal history check
  • Ability to obtain a working with children clearance (Ochre Card)
