This is a temporary contract, working full time hours (37.5 per week) through Randstad.

About the role:

This role involves supporting the provision of policy analysis and recommendations based on document review, stakeholder consultation, reviewing existing policies and legislation.

Duties and responsibilities:

Analysing and interpreting legislation, policies, reports, strategies and program/project plans.Conducting desktop research to inform policy and strategy design.Coordinating and liaising with internal procurement teams and external suppliers.Contributing to briefings, reports, business cases and other executive material.Developing materials, agendas and PowerPoint presentations for meetings and workshops. About you: Relevant social sciences undergraduate or postgraduate qualification (e.g. political science, public policy, economics, sociology, communications) and familiarity with key concepts in qualitative research.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to prepare reports, briefs, emails and administrative documentation.Conceptual and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to understand and synthesise information from a range of strategic, academic, policy or legislative sources.Strong stakeholder relationship management and interpersonal skills.Australian citizenship (mandatory).
